Birmingham City Council is carrying out a high value quotation exercise for the provision of an anaerobic waste processor to dispose of commercial food waste, inviting tenders from all interested suppliers. New government legislation (the Environment Act 2021) requires the Council to offer a separate food recycling collection and to meet this requirement Birmingham City Council's Trade Waste Services will be introducing a new commercial food waste collection service for all its new and existing customers. The Council will enter into a contract with the preferred supplier under Birmingham City Council's standard terms and conditions of contract.

BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this high value quotation exercise and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. The web address is: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc
Registration and use of In-Tend is free. All correspondence for this procurement process must be via the In-tend correspondence function. If you are unable to register with In-tend please email cps@birmingham.gov.uk.

We will send you a log in and password so you can download the high value quotation documentation. Responses to this quotation exercise must be uploaded no later than 11:59 hours (GMT) on 30th January 2025 using the Supplier Portal.
