Description
This is an invitation to a market engagement event.
The Department intends to publish a new procurement opportunity in May/June 2024 for one or more prime suppliers to deliver suite of Tackling Antisemitism in Education contracts from 2024 to 2027.
The aim of the TAE programme is to support schools, colleges, and universities to tackle antisemitism effectively by:
- Increasing understanding of antisemitism amongst staff and learners
- Increasing staff ability to identify and tackle incidents of antisemitism.
- Providing schools and colleges with the skills and necessary tools for institutions to improve policies and processes to facilitate organisational cultural change to better identify and deal with instances of antisemitism
- Providing education staff with the necessary tools to hold and facilitate discussions on the historic and current conflicts and tackling disinformation.
The Department is seeking to appoint one or more Prime Supplier(s) or Consortia(s) to deliver the TAE Programme, from FY24-25 to FY26-27.
The Department proposes the requirements be split across four (4) Lots:
Lot 1 - HE Tackling Antisemitism Framework - to support and enable universities to demonstrate that the required standard of good practice is in place.
Lot 2 - Scholarships - a scholarship programme that involves a trip and dedicated learning into the history and legacy of antisemitism along with its current appearance.
Lot 3 - Training and Resources for Universities - increasing staff, campus security and student understanding of antisemitism and their ability to identify and tackle it when it arises.
Lot 4 - Resources and support for Schools & Colleges - the development of online learning resources hosted on Educate Against Hate, training to achieve cultural change in settings and further staff/student engagements, to help staff and students develop their understanding of antisemitism, increase their confidence in tackling it and support discussions about antisemitism.
The Department are hosting an engagement event on 15th May 2024. The event will be hosted virtually via Teams. Access and further information is available via Jaggaer.
