TII369 Detailed description The works described below are split into three separate lots to undertake routine maintenance of circa 1800 National Road Bridge structures in the Republic Of Ireland.
The Lots are:
1. North West Bridges Term Maintenance Contract No. 4
2. Munster Bridges Term Maintenance Contract No. 4
3. Leinster Bridges Term Maintenance Contract No. 4
The scope includes for Annual Routine Maintenance of bridge structures nationwide within a five year maintenance contract, including vegetation clearance, cleaning drainage and other maintenance of concrete, masonry and steel structures carrying and crossing national roads. The contract includes for Reactive Maintenance works. Contract includes potential for Designed Works. Routine maintenance works phased over a 25-week contract period in 2023(Year 1), 2024(Year 2), 2025 (Year 3), 2026 (Year 4).
Year 5 works will be phased over a 20 week construction window and will include environmentally sensitive works which did not screen out in Year 4 and require a NIS. Non-Routine maintenance work may be required over the full term duration. Year 4 routine maintenance works and all Non-Routine maintenance works will have a 52-week defects correction period.
The project involves but is not limited to the following works;
• Traffic management
• Third part liaison
• Water management and instream works
• Unblocking drainage
• Removal of vegetation
• Repairing potholes
• Parapet repairs
• Concrete repairs
• Patch painting of steelwork
• Replacing guardrails/safety barriers
• Masonry stonework repairs
• Road sweeping and cleaning
• Graffiti removal from walls
• Installation of timber post and tension mesh fencing
• Replacement of damaged or missing cats eyes
• Miscellaneous maintenance works.
