Short description RFT for the Provision of a Preclinical Study of an Electrical Ablation Medical Device for University of Galway Detailed description The CRO (contract research organisation) will perform this animal study, which will be conducted through the Disruptive Technology Innovation Fund to assess the efficacy of varying electrical power/frequency on ablation of the soft tissues. The site must have expertise in the testing of electrical ablation in a pig model. The site must have capacity to source and care for the pigs post-operatively for up to 13 weeks in line with US or EU animal welfare guidelines.
The site must provide veterinary expertise and be able to give a competitive offering of in-study analysis, post operative organ collection, and histopathology to best evaluate the findings after study completion. It is expected the CRO will have ethics approval to cover the study.
