Detailed description
Site investigation is proposed to determine the ground and groundwater
conditions to assist the preliminary design of the proposed scheme.
The purpose of the site investigation works is:
A. To reveal ground and groundwater conditions along the scheme route.
B. To reduce risk of unforeseen ground conditions
C. To install instrumentation to capture and monitor the long-term trend
and seasonal variations of groundwater along the route.
The location and extent of the proposed works is shown in the plan
drawings included in Section 3.3 of the SI Contract (22407-BLT-XX-XXTD-CG-06006_Site_Investigation_Contract)
