The Bing Community Group Wastewater Scheme Geotechnical Investigation Contract Detailed description This contract provides for an advance ground investigation works to be carried out in connection with the construction of a proposed sewerage scheme in Kilrane, County Wexford from Bing to Kilrane. The works shall include the following:
> 2 No. rotary coreholes to 6m (the location of the coreholes required is to be reviewed following the trial pits and cable percussion boreholes.
> 2 No. cable percussion boreholes taken to 4 to 6m bgl or refusal on rock;
> 23 No. trail pits excavated to 3.0m or refusal on rock;
> 19 No. slit trenches (In 50km/hr zone, half road width excavation and reinstatement. In 80km/hr zone, full road width excavation and reinstatement. In concrete footpath, full bay reinstatement)
> 2 No. standpipe piezometers.
> Sampling from boreholes and trial pits;
> Ground water level readings from piezometers (including returns to site);
> In-situ testing (SPT's) and laboratory testing;
> In-situ permeability testing in boreholes where permeable strata are encountered.
> Factual reporting;
> Surveying of investigation points.
