What is a restricted procedure (above threshold)?
A two-stage procedure, where the first stage is used to select suppliers, who are then invited to bid in the second stage. This procedure can be used for procurements above the relevant contract value threshold. The current building is dated, with poor layouts and internal reconfiguration not economically viable. St Mary's are keen to grow their teaching portfolio by increasing popular programmes in STEM subjects. They currently have an application before the General Medical Council for the formation of a School of Medicine. The principal aim is to create more teaching space to accommodate the School of Medical and other programmes. The planning authority will require delivery of a BREEAM excellent building.
