Brief description:
At Sandwell Council we are progressive, dynamic, and dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. We now wish to recruit a Contracts Solicitor/Lawyer who shares our vision.
You will be required to provide quality practical advice and support on public procurement and commercial contracts, including contract negotiation, drafting and contract disputes. You will also provide support to our Principal Lawyers in on specialist and complex contracts and procurement work as well as high-level projects.
You must be a qualified lawyer with experience of undertaking work within a Local Authority or the public sector on all legal matters in relation to contracts and procurement.
Ideal Candidate
Qualified lawyer - Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx) with at least three years' post qualification experience.
This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who can demonstrate the ability to deal with a heavy caseload, possess excellent client care skills, and an eagerness to provide a high-quality service to our clients.
The candidate will have existing management experience.
